3 Ravens Choc Rye Extra Stout

A strong stout brewed in the Irish “export” style, but with the majority of character malts made from Heritage rye (instead of barley) - including raw-rolled rye, Vienna Rye, Light Chocolate Rye (malt) and Roast (raw) Rye. Cacao husk was also added to the mash to accentuate the coffee and chocolate notes of the rye as well as adding a distinct fruitiness. Brewed to commemorate midwinter 2024 and for our annual “Dark Mass” celebration.
