Barringwood Estate Pinot Noir 2022

Barringwood Vineyard boasts one of Tasmania's lengthiest growing seasons, imparting delicacy, elegance, and the quintessential cool-climate acidity to their wines. Since their inaugural vintage in 1998, Barringwood has consistently earned multiple awards for their exceptional single vineyard wines, firmly establishing them among Tasmania's finest producers.

The grape selection involved destemming to an open-top fermenter, followed by a gentle cold soak lasting three days before yeast inoculation. After completing primary fermentation, the wine underwent malolactic fermentation in tank, and then it was carefully transferred to oak barriques for a six-month aging period, including 15% new oak.

The nose is a symphony of vibrant, luscious strawberries and cherries, accented by subtle hints of rhubarb that gracefully yield to mild spices and understated savory nuances. The palate offers substantial body, featuring upfront fruit characters harmoniously complemented by distinct savory elements and a subtle trace of spice.
